Frenchmen Notes

An ongoing research and oral history project carried out in conjunction with the Midlo Center for New Orleans studies that documents the history, data, and stories if one of New Orleans’ most musically famous streets.

Guide to Street Performance

A ‘graphic advocacy’ guide that outlines all the laws that govern street performance in New Orleans for use by performers, law enforcement, business owners, and neighbors—so everyone understands what is allowed and what is not.

Community Engagement Sessions

A series of meetings to discuss and strategize about topics that impact the cultural community, such as affordable housing or transportation.

Teach-Ins

Instructional sessions held in collaboration in topic experts to build capacity and empower community members. Past topics have included “Street Performance and the Law”; cultural zoning, and the basics of civic engagement.
