MaCCNO 10TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
After a three year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Music and Culture Coalition of New Orleans (MaCCNO) celebrated a decade of centering the needs and desires of New Orleans’ cultural community members with its annual party with a purpose on Sunday, 11/20/22. The celebration featured live performances from Mikey Offline, Flagboy Giz, Da Lovebirds (Robin Barnes & Pat Casey), The Original Pinettes Brass Band, and Water Seed as well as a silent auction from several local businesses. 📸: Camille Morgan Barnett
MaCCNO x sundae best celebrity scoop night
On Friday, July 22nd, we teamed up with the sweetest spot in the Marigny, Sundae Best Ice Cream to beat the heat and raise funds for our ongoing cultural advocacy efforts.
Our star studded list of celebrity scoopers includes premiere burlesque performer and producer Trixie Minx, internationally acclaimed poet, performer and cultural worker, Sunni Patterson and recent Gambit Weekly 40 Under 40 recipient and Flagboy of the Wild Tchoupitoulas Black Masking Indians, Flagboy Giz. MACCNO 7th Anniversary Party
On Friday, October 4, 2019, we celebrated our seventh anniversary at the Hi-Ho Lounge with performances by the Brass-A-Holics, Big Chief Bo Dollis Jr. & the Wild Magnolias, DJ Rivera Slim and DJ Nice Rack. MaCCNO 6th Anniversary party
On Friday, September 21, 2018, we celebrated our sixth anniversary with a FUNraiser that featured performances by the Original Pinettes Brass Band, Chapter: SOUL, DJ RQ Away and BLK. The anniversary celebration was hosted by the Millenial Arsenio DC Paul along with raffle prizes from local businesses and appearances by the Camel Toe Lady Steppers and took place at Siberia Lounge.
