Cultural Policy Research Library

At MaCCNO, we pride ourselves on our accuracy and our thorough vetting processes for all of our products, policy proposals, and initiatives.  However, we have also found that much of the information—particularly historical information around cultural policy decisions—is not readily available.  We have taken it upon ourselves to find it, and now have nearly 1,000 pages of primary source documents scanned and ready to upload.  These documents detail the creation of the noise ordinance, restrictions on live music in bars, and much more.  Many come directly from the City Archives and have not been seen in decades.

We are working on cleaning up the documents and looking into the best way to post them online.  Check back for updates.
